Help Erin raise money

Hello friends! 

My friend, Kristin Pitman, and I are running in the Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) on August 21st!

As you may know, JAF is near and dear to me and my family.  Its mission is to provide help, hope, and a reason to smile for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most.  I had the privilege of covering a staff member’s maternity leave at JAF as a volunteer earlier this year, and I saw firsthand what the work of this foundation and the wonderful people who comprise it means to its patient recipients.  JAF understands the financial toxicity that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis.  Mounting medical bills coupled with loss of income associated with battling (or caring for a loved one who is battling) this terrible disease is the very real cost of cancer and it can bring families to their knees at what is already the worst time in their lives. This is when JAF steps in! 

They ensure rent payments are made, that grocery bills are covered, and that transportation to appointments is arranged… just to name a few. These seemingly small acts of support, and things many of us take for granted in our own lives, are actually the really big things that make all the difference in these patients’ everyday lives.  JAF allows them to put their worries aside and shift all their energy to what is most important – getting well!

Today, I’m excited to offer you an opportunity to help JAF in executing on their mission!  No donation is too small and the need has never been greater!
