My Story…
The countdown is ON!
I am thrilled to be running in the Falmouth Road Race for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As many of you know, my brother, Kyle, has CF.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. This buildup of mucus in the body can lead to infections and other chronic health complications.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the fight against CF. The Foundation’s robust scientific portfolio reflects its drive to provide effective treatments and, one day, a cure for all with the disease. Innovative therapies are transforming the lives of thousands of people with CF. Thanks to the work of the Foundation and the support of donors like you, the life expectancy of someone born with CF has more than doubled in the last 30 years.
While Kyle (25) has been able to benefit from the therapies the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has developed, there are many who cannot tolerate developed treatments or who have rare mutations for which there is no treatment.
People with CF continue to face complications associated with the disease, and many people with CF are still waiting for their breakthrough treatment.
Please consider donating to my Falmouth Road Race to support all in the CF community. We cannot stop until CF stands for cure found!
Donate to help Cassandra raise money for The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
