My Story…
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page…I am so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race again this year! I have run this race a couple of times in the past for ALS or through random lottery pick. I am running this race again but this year I’ve decided to run for Team Genesis Club House, an amazing organization that focuses on helping people with mental health issues and the challenges that come along with it.
Mental illness and the stigma of having mental health issues is another cause that is very close to my heart. I am hoping we together can do something about this.
A little about me; I lost my mom and dad very young in India and went through a lot of mental health issues myself for the last 20 years. I became a caregiver to help seniors so that I could work through my mental health and find peace.
During my period of working, I have met this wonderful woman, who is a smart UMass and MIT graduate, kind very generous beautiful woman inside and out , and is suffering from mental health issues. She is 93 years old and has lung cancer. But what I see every day that’s bothering her more is the anxiety and mental health.
So, in honor of her and every person living with mental illness, I ask you to join me in supporting Team Genesis.Thank you and I truly appreciate your support
