REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP QUESTIONS
How do I register?
You MUST register online. Online registration is open until race start time.
Can I pick up a packet for a friend of family member?
Yes
When and where do we pick up our packets?
Germantown Athletic Club, on Saturday, from 11am - 4pm.
Should participants pick up their packets early?
YES, please plan to pick up your packet early.
Will I be able to change my shirt size?
You will not be able to exchange your shirt until after the race. We will have an area for shirt exchange after the race for those wishing to exchange their shirts. You will be given the shirt size you ordered during registration, sorry but no exceptions.
How can I get a race shirt if I do not want to participate?
You may register as a participant to receive a race shirt. You do not have to compete if you do not wish to do so. You may pick up your shirt and bag at the early packet pick up.
RACE DAY QUESTIONS
Where is the race located?
The race is located at the Germantown Athletic Club/Germantown Performing Arts Centre at 1801 Exeter Road in Germantown, TN.
What time does the race start?
Half Marathon - 7:30am and 5k will begin at 8:00am.
Is there a time limit for the half marathon?
Yes, the half marathon course will close at 10:30am, which is 3 hours after the start of the race. We want everyone to finish the race. We also have to keep in mind that we have a lot of streets closed and tying up a lot of resources. You must be prepared to finish within the 3 hour time limit.
What if it is raining/snowing on race morning?
The race will happen rain, snow or shine
Where are the water stops?
There will be 6 Aid Stations on the courses.
Will there be toilets at each aid station?
Yes, there will be portable toilets at mile
When should I arrive?
Most runners plan to arrive at an event 1 hour prior to race start time. If you have not picked up your packet at a packet pick up, please arrive at least 1 hour in advance of race start.
How long will it take to find a place to park?
Around 5-10 minutes. Please arrive early, the only parking is behind the start line. If you arrive 5 minutes before scheduled race start, you will more than likely miss the race. Plan to arrive early.
Where do I park?
Parking will be allowed in and around the Germantown Athletic Club. When choosing your parking, please be considerate of nearby churches and their members. Don't park in church parking lots. Remember, they are open for business on Sunday mornings. Suggestion: if you arrive too late to park at the Germantown Athletic Club lot, try the parking lots just one block to the south at Farmington and Exeter. There are plenty of parking spots available.
Are baby joggers/baby strollers allowed in the race?
Yes, please start towards the end of the pack.
Are walkers allowed to participate?
Walkers are invited to participate in either race. Walkers in the half marathon should note that the course will be closed in stages, with the entire course being closed after 3 hours (10:30 a.m.). The streets must be reopened to vehicular traffic per Germantown Police Department. Cones will be removed or moved to the side. So, if you maintain a pace slower than 14 minutes per mile, you will be asked to move to the sidewalk. Please do so. The finish line will remain open until all participants have completed the course, however, and you will receive your Finisher Medal.
Are runners allowed to run with dogs?
Dogs are NOT allowed at the Germantown Half Marathon and Mayor's Cup 5k.
When are the awards?
8:45am
What are the award categories?

Will male and female categories be awarded prizes?
YES, both male and female categories will receive awards.
Bicycles, skates and dogs are prohibited from the races.
ON COURSE DETAILS AID STATIONS
There will be 5 aid stations on the course.
Water and Gatorade will be provided at each.
Please do not throw trash on the course.
