Del Tech Choc Run 5k

To ensure the health and safety of race participants, this year's Delaware Tech Chocolate 5k will pivot from a hybrid to virtual format. We hope you can join us for the 2022 virtual Chocolate 5k run/walk during the month of February. The proceeds will benefit the Delaware Technical Community College Emergency Fund for Students that provides financial assistance to students who find themselves in an unexpected or emergency situation that makes it difficult for them to complete their current semester.

Race amenities include an event T-shirt designed by a Delaware Tech visual communication student and participation medals for each registrant.

In March, we will hold a contactless drive-through packet pickup so race participants can stop by to get their chocolate scented T-shirt, participation medal, and chocolate treat. In addition, we will offer an option to mail the packets for a fee.

How It Works

1. Register - Choose your event: 5K run or 5K walk
2. Race - Walk or run ANY day from now to January 7th to February 28th.
3. Use a fitness watch or smartphone app to track your distance and time. Take a picture of your record.
4. Share - Submit your time and picture of your record. Submit your results. Share photos on Facebook and Instagram!

   There are many free apps that you can download and use to record your virtual results. Use one of these apps to track your run or walk. Or use your favorite app or smart watch. Most importantly, don't forget to save your activity and upload your results!
