South Asheville Turkey Trot presented by Hunter Subaru

The first 1,500 participants to sign up will receive a commemorative South Asheville Turkey Trot finisher medal that sparkles AND spins! We'll also be giving out FREE Trot then Turkey cozy shirts to all participants who register by November 6th at midnight. After that, shirts will be available for $15 during registration in limited sizes and quantities. We cannot guarantee that we will have extra shirts for sale on race day.

Pre-event shipping: If you'd like to skip the packet pickup session, or you'd just like to sleep in a bit longer on race day, you can have your packets mailed to you before the race! This option is available until November 6th at midnight.

To encourage the entire family to come out and run together, all participants 12 and under can register for just $20, until November 20th at midnight! After that, the price will increase to $25 all the way up to the day of the event (discount is automatically applied at check out). The first 1,500 participants to register still get a finisher medal, and the free shirt deadline (November 6th) still applies to these registrants.

In it for the fun and not to win the race? The South Asheville Turkey Trot presented by Hunter Subaru features a “Best Dressed Turkey” Contest each year!

The Best Dressed in turkey-themed costumes and attire for all award categories will receive a special turkey-themed prize and the Best Dressed Overall Male Gobbler and Female Hen will also receive a free entry to next year's race! Get the family together, throw on all your turkey swag and show up to kick off your holiday with this fun annual tradition as you gobble and trot your way through Biltmore Park! You know you love a little friendly competition with friends & family!

If you can't make it to the day-before packet pickup session, you'd like to sleep in an extra few minutes on race day, or you'd just like to avoid the hassle of packet pickup altogether, this is the option for you! You can purchase the pre-event mailing option up until November 6th at midnight, either during registration or from the race store.

UPDATE: Due to popular demand, we've extended the Holiday Hustle deadline to December 1st! Sign up for each of the three events listed below and you will be automatically added to the series and receive the medal!

The US Department of Veterans Affairs states that more than 6,000 Veterans die by suicide each year, and other statistics show that twice as many First Responders die by suicide than in the line of duty. By gathering together Sheep Dogs who have suffered similar traumas & experiences, SDIA has found that the camaraderie and peer support they receive fosters healing and is critical to their overall well-being. When Sheep Dogs #GetOffTheCouch™, their attitude, motivation and perspective are drastically improved. Your generous support allows SDIA to ENGAGE, ASSIST & EMPOWER our nation’s heroes to Get Off The Couch™ with their brothers & sisters, which prevents suicides in our Veteran and First Responder communities

Your donations will go to the following programs/causes:

• Christmas Eve first responders care packages - will deliver these to every first responder, EMS, and law enforcement in various counties.
• Holiday program - for helping Sheep Dog families in need with a Christmas meal and donations towards children's gifts
• Warrior PATHH for veterans and first responders - This program helps veterans and first responders struggling with PTSD through a 5 day program, followed by 18 months of online meetings and support.
