Join us for our South Holland Fun Run 5K on September 10, 2022!
The race starts at the beautiful Veterans Memorial Park (500 East 160th Place) in South Holland, Illinois. The opening ceremony begins at 7am. Runners are encouraged to wear costumes or accessories, and we will have some fun surprises along the course to keep participants entertained!
Your registration includes a race bag filled with a long-sleeve race shirt and many goodies (while supplies last). Everyone who finishes the race will receive a finisher's medal, and prizes are awarded to our top finishers.
Proceeds from the race will benefit three local programs dedicated to the health and well-being of South Holland youth—ROC ED, South Holland Jets, and South Holland Little League!
Registration is online only; there will be no in-person or on-site registration. Registration ends Monday, September 5 at 11:59pm, or until spots are filled.

Packet & Race Shirt Pick-Up
Fun Run packet pick up will be held prior to the event at the South Holland Community Center, 501 E 170th St. Here you will receive your race bib, race shirt, and goodie bag.

Wednesday, September 7, 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 8, 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
**NOTE: For safety reasons, we will not distribute race bags on the day of the race.** If you cannot make it on Wednesday or Thursday to pick up your bag, you are welcome to have a friend or family member pick up your race bib, shirt and race bag for you. Please send them with a copy of your registration confirmation.
Race Start
This year, all participants will begin the race promptly at 7:30am. We will place runners/joggers at the front of the group, and walkers will be placed in the back.
A 20-minute mile pace or faster is required for the 5K race (approximately three miles per hour, equivalent to a brisk walk). If you fall below this pace, the South Holland Fun Run race organizers cannot guarantee course support, as road closures, water stations, and medical support will begin to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to either move up onto the sidewalk or require you to be transported further up on course to catch up to the 15-minute per mile group.
Medical
Medical support will be provided at the finish line, as well as along the course as needed.
Prizes & Race Medals
All participants will receive a finisher’s medal at the designated station. Age division winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place - male and female) will receive a medal. Top finishers in each race will receive a monetary prize.
Medal Ceremony begins at approximately 8:30 a.m.
