Athletes from around Chicagoland gather in Beverly/Morgan Park every Memorial Day to compete in BAPA’s Ridge Run. On Monday, May 30, 2022, the Ridge Run will offer a full complement of options: 5K run, 5K untimed walk, 10K run, 5K + 10K Challenge, and Youth Mile. Races start and finish at Ridge Park, 9625 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago, and a family festival in the park follows.
Memorial Day is observed in Beverly/Morgan Park with a ceremony in Ridge Park following the start of the 5K Ridge Run and the Memorial Day Parade, one of the oldest community parades in Chicago, stepping off from 110th and Longwood Drive at 10:30 a.m., marching north to Ridge Park. The Ridge Run is hosted by the Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA).

Race results will be based on B-tag start and B-tag finish times only. Timing provided by Lakeshore Athletic Services
Age Groups
5K RUN:
8 & UNDER, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & OVER.
10K RUN:
14 & UNDER, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & OVER
YOUTH MILE FUN RUN (untimed): AGES 6-10.
AWARDS (based upon time of finish NOT order of finish)
The top three men and women in the 10K Run and the 5K Run will be recognized as winners.
The Youth Mile Fun Run and 5K Walk are not timed races. The top 3 boy and girl finishers will be recognized as winners. No awards for 5K walk.
