Covid-19 and Vaccination Registration Requirements
Race organizers will adhere to whatever the Covid-19 public health requirements and protocols are at a particular time. For example, on race day, if the Saskatchewan Health Authority/Government of Saskatchewan require proof of vaccination to participate in a public outdoor event of the type, then we will require proof of vaccination. If there are group size restrictions, we will adhere to them. Race organizers believe that the race is to far away to be able to stipulate runner requirements in one way or the other. If for some reason we are required to cancel the race due to the pandemic, our Covid Refund Policy will be enacted.
The Beaver Flat 50 is an outrageous run and outrageously fun. This is the best worst thing you'll do in September. It's wet shoes, ankle strain, sandy hands, scratched shins. It's hill repeats in the worst kind of way. It's off-camber very narrow animal trail. It's cacti, juniper bushes, rock, sand and water. But most important, it's fun.
f the 50km isn't for you yet, try the 20km, 10km or 5km. They're hard and fun too.
General Registration - February 14, 2022 at 7:00am CST - August 31, 2022 at 12:00pm CST.
Refund Breakdown:
- Full refunds available from February 14, 2022 - April 30, 2022 (less the processing fee).
- 50% refund available from May 1, 2022 - June 30, 2022. If COVID refund policy is activated, you will not receive an additional refund if you cancelled during this time period and already received a 50% refund.
- Absolutely no refunds from July 1, 2022 - September 17, 2022 (unless the COVID refund policy is activated).
- You can transfer between distances (e.g. from 50km to 20km) from February 14, 2022 - September 1, 2022 AS LONG AS THE EVENT IS NOT FULL.
- You can transfer your bib to another runner, but you must do it through Race Roster. We don't allow a personal transfer of bib because we need racer contact information and we need people to complete the waiver for insurance purposes. You can transfer your bib from February 14, 2022 - September 1, 2022.
- Runners ages 16 and under that wish to participate in the Beaver Flat 50 or Dam Hard 20 must do so with a parent or guardian chaperone who must also be a registered participant of the same distance. Failure to abide by this policy will result in you not being permitted to participate in the event in the future.
Covid Refund Policy:
If the Covid-19 Pandemic requires us to cancel the race, you can either:
- Receive a full deferral of fees and value of preordered items will be credited to 2023; or
- Receive a 60% refund on your registration; or
- Donate your 2022 registration fee to the race.
Same as last year:
- 45+ Master's division.
- No deferrals. If you cannot make the 2022 race, your registration cannot be deferred to 2023 (unless the Covid Refund Policy is activated).
New this year:
- We are not managing a waitlist. Once it's sold out, it's sold out. If spots open up, we will post to social media and it will be first come first serve.
Train hard. Run well. Be merry.
Please note: event organizers reserve the right to cancel the Beaver Flat 50 at any time for any reason, including inclement weather and pandemics. But we'll do everything in our power to run the event before cancellation is considered.
