My Story…
On May 29th, 2022 I will be running 10km as a Virtual participant in VRPro's Bronte Creek Run/Walk for Ukraine. The funds raised will support the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. It is absolutely heartbreaking to hear and see the news coming out of Ukraine, and this event gives me a way to help.
In training runs as well as on Virtual Race Day, I will be wearing the colours of Ukraine in my home community of Scarborough, Ontario to show my solidarity and support for the people of Ukraine. One of the shirts I will be wearing is a beautiful design by Linda Laforge, a local Ontario artist who is using her creative talents to raise funds for Ukraine.
