Our story…
The West Coast Annual 5K SCADaddle has been on hold for the past two years due to the pandemic and I was really looking forward to finally gathering with the SCAD community again and participating in this year's walk.
Unfortunately, as some of you already know, I recently had a 3rd SCAD and I am unable to do the walk. But I am so grateful for my team members and others who will be there that day walking for me. (My cardiologist and his family will be walking too!) I will be supporting everyone from the sidelines.
It is a very important weekend event for all of us survivors and for the family members of those who did not survive. Top cardiologists, Dr. Sharone Hayes who heads the research program at the Mayo Clinic will be there to share their latest findings.
We appreciate any support in our 5k fundraising efforts for SCAD research. We hope that one day we will find answers as to why SCAD happens and how it might be prevented.
