Cannonball Crush is a fun, exciting, yet challenging race with over 15 obstacles designed to test strength, determination and team spirit.

Where does Cannonball Crush take place?
Cannonball Crush takes place at Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario. Fort Henry is a National Historic Site of Canada as well as a World Heritage Site along with the Rideau Canal. The Fort was built in the 1800’s to defend the Rideau Canal, the Royal Naval Dockyards, and Kingston harbor from American aggression. Today, Fort Henry is a living history museum, depicting British Army life in the year 1867.
Where can I park during the event? How much does parking cost?
Parking is free! You can park your vehicle in our main parking lot beside Fort Henry's Great Hall.
Is Fort Henry open on race day?
Fort Henry will remain open during the event. Operating times are 9:45am to 5:00pm. The Trade Square will also be open to the public.
What is the minimum age requirement?
Crushers must be 18 years or older on race day to participate.
Who can compete in Cannonball Crush?
As long as you are over the age of 18 – you can compete! Cannonball Crush has been designed for all fitness levels. We encourage everyone to try and conquer Fort Henry.
What is the deadline for registration?
Online registration closes June 7, 2022 at midnight. A limited number of Crushers will be able to register on site on the day of the event for a fee of $100 plus tax. Those who sign up on the day of the event will run in the later heats (race time slots). For day of registration, please go to Fort Henry's Great Hall.
Can I register after the deadline for registration?
Yes, after online registration closes a limited number of participants can register at Fort Henry's Great Hall until 30 minutes before the race starts.
What do I get with my registration?
Every registrant will receive: - Cannonball Crush Memorabilia item - Professional chip timing - Entry to the Beerfest After Party - Parking - Bragging rights
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds. You may still receive your race kit on the day of the race, or a later date of your choosing. You may also transfer your registration to a friend, contact iain.bell@parks.on.ca for assistance.
What if my teammate can no longer attend?
If you or a teammate can no longer attend but have already registered, we cannot offer a refund. However, teams may replace members under the same registration. Contact iain.bell@parks.on.ca for more information.
What kinds of obstacles are at Cannonball Crush?
Cannonball Crush provides challenging obstacles that include climbing, crawling, jumping and more. The course is very unique with both modern and historical themed obstacles.
What time should I arrive on race day?
Race day registration and bag check begins at 8:00am at the Fort Henry's Great Hall. We recommend all Crushers arrive at least 1 hour before your start time.
What should I wear to Cannonball Crush?
Running shoes are a must. Other than that, feel free to dress up however you want, many individuals and teams come dressed in costumes!
Are spectators allowed? Do they need to pay admission to attend?
Spectators are welcome and encouraged! There will be spectator zones with great views of the action, and there is no admission cost to watch your loved ones Crush through the course from these zones. Feel free to invite them to YGK Craft Beer Fest, taking place the same day on the waterfront back hill of Fort Henry! Only race participants will be provided with a complimentary ticket to YGK Craft Beer Fest.
Will there be a bag check for my belongings?
No. Valuables should be locked safely in your car.
Cannonball Crush participants receive free admission to YGK Craft Beer Fest - how does this work?
Crushers will get one complimentary ticket to YGK Craft Beer Fest in their race kit. Be sure to keep track of where you keep your ticket as complimentary tickets will not be replaced. To redeem, you may visit Fort Henry's admissions booth. Please note gates open for YGK Craft Beer Fest at noon! When you check in your complimentary YGKCBF admission ticket at the booth, you will receive a branded cup and may purchase beer tokens.
What measures have been put in place to ensure that we are being safe during COVID-19?
Our event staff are monitoring the most current public health and safety guidelines closely and adjusting our safety measures accordingly. We are also in close talks with KFL&A public health to ensure that we are doing everything needed to run the event in the safest way possible. Safety measures include, but are not limited to, sanitizing obstacles between heats, hand washing stations throughout the site, masks to be worn where advised, a briefing to be done for a racers, and discouraging handshaking/high-fiving pre and post race.
