Raise money for His House Children's Home

His House Children's Home, “His House", is a faith-based, non-for-profit social service agency whose mission is dedicated to restoring joy to the lives of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Through its dedicated staff and volunteers, His House puts forth every effort to help those children needing a safe and welcoming place to call home. His House is steadfast in its commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse, while providing a holistic approach in its delivery of services for meeting the physical, emotional, educational and social needs of children. Children admitted into care are in distress and struggling to cope with the events that brought them into the system. As a result, His House immediately takes the necessary measures to address the long-term effects of their abuse and trauma while also giving them a welcoming place to stay. Children need a safe, loving place to call home during the turbulent times in their lives and His House represents a pillar of hope and a healing place that gives wounded children not only a place to call home, but renewed optimism for a brighter future.

His House is a state and national leader in providing high quality residential and foster care services that meet the many individual needs of the children it serves. Other services provided include: an on campus clinical department, on site medical coordination, initial assessments, crisis intervention, enrichment programs, life skills training, fun outings, tutoring and a multitude of other enrichment services with the goal of normalizing the children's lives as much as possible. His House implements these and many other services in order to provide a safe, loving, stable and nurturing environment for all the children in its care so they have the opportunity to improve in all facets of their lives.

Since it was established in 1989, His House has served more than 11,000 children in the child welfare system and in the International program for Unaccompanied Minors, which was established in 2008. Additionally, in 2015, His House served a total of 1361 children. 311 children were served in the Residential domestic program, 64 children were placed in loving foster homes throughout the community and 986 children were served in the International Unaccompanied Minors program.

His House is licensed by the Department of Children and Families as a Residential Facility and Child Placement Agency. His House collaborates with Our Kids Inc., in Monroe and Miami-Dade County and it also contracts with Child Net in Broward.
