My Story…
It’s that of year when I Ride for RMHC! Because my role at OUC is focused on our community, it’s been quite a busy time communicating with our customers as they patiently waited for power to be restored following Hurricane Ian.
Now that things have calmed down a bit, I’ve had some time to reflect on the last week. Most of us in Central Florida were blessed with minimal damage, but many in Florida were not so lucky and my heart goes out to those who continue to reel from the storm’s fury.
I'm happy to report that all three Central Florida Ronald McDonald Houses stayed open during the storm and helped keep families close to their sick children. While services didn’t skip a beat, the facilities that house our families incurred some damage – including roof damage, downed fenced, broken trees, scattered debris and impacted technology.
That makes this year’s ride even more crucial. Please consider contributing to my ride to help offset the costs of these repairs. It means a lot to me to provide some relief to the hard-working employees and volunteers of this group. And most importantly, to provide support to families going through so much.
I’m late to fundraising for this year’s ride, but I’m hoping to meet my goal of $5,000, nonetheless, and your support would mean the world to me. I know we can do this!!!
