3rd Annual Barky Pines Puppy Love 5k

We are so excited to begin the planning for our third annual Puppy Love 5k Race and Walk.

RACE LOCATION:

Commons Park
11600 Poinciana Blvd.
Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411
(Off Royal Palm Beach Blvd between Okeechobee Blvd. and Southern Blvd).

The dedicated course at the park has some tricky spots. We have spoken to the Village's Parks Department and hope to have it more clearly marked. We will also have additional signs made and placed throughout the course for easier navigation. The Village also assures us all traffic will be closed off to course.

TIMELINE:

• Race Day check-in will begin at 6:30 am
• Our National Anthem, will be at approximately 7:15am
• Race start is 7:30am with chip-timed runners at the start line first
• Fun run/walk with your pet: your start is 7:30 behind chipped runners

Please, stay and play! Along with the Pet Costume Contest, stay and visit with adorable and adoptable pets.

Take a chance on the AMAZING raffle prizes that sponsors donated. Visit our sponsor's booths! Have some fun with photo opps!

If you haven't already, please register your pet. We want to be sure to have their packets ready too. If your pet is participating in the costume contest, be sure to sign them up either at early check-in or when you arrive on race day.

If you haven't told your family, friends and neighbors about the race, please do!

Group formation is made available and provides discounts for groups over four.

We will have prizes for the male and female 1st Place finishers in the following categories:

I. 18 and under
II. 19-29
III. 30-39
IV. 40-49
V. 50-59
Vi. 60-70
Vii. 71 and over

For early registrants, prior to January 20, 2021, the price is $35 and includes a t-shirt and medal as well as a "swag bag". On February 1, 2022 the race will go up to $45.

There will be special rates for children/s school running groups, please contact us for more details!

VIRTUAL RACE
For those wishing to do a virtual race, that is also an option! The cost is $35 to include the price for the t-shirt, medal and shipping. After February 1, this price rises to $45.

FUN RUN/WALK (WITH OR WITHOUT PETS)
Even more, we will again have our pet walk/run beginning at 7:30.am for those wishing to dress up their pet and take them on a stroll - come as you are! Please line up behind the chipped runners.

This race will also be chip timed for those that wish to take advantage of it , but NO PRESSURE . its for leisure and FUN !

We will have a pet costume contest and fun photo ops, along with raffle prizes for the winners!

Of course, Barky Pines' finest adoptables will be available for adoption! Many vendors to come as well,. Including our sponsors Bark Bar Granola, Aqua Soft- Kinetico , Berman Law Group, Zola Chow Organic Dog Food, Palm Beach County ACC and more.

Most of all, HAVE FUN! It's all about the pets!
