One Step at a Time
I can’t believe it’s that time of year again! As many of you know, I have worked with children/youth and their families in this community for almost fourteen years in various settings and continue to do so. I take this work very seriously and put every ounce of my heart into it.
So raising money for mental health is something I gravitate towards strongly, especially knowing it’s going to assist the very families I get to support within my home and work community.
The money raised will go towards Lutherwood’s “Steps for Kids” initiative. Lutherwood provides children/youth and families in the Waterloo Region with many accessible mental health resources, some examples being: support groups, various treatment programs, music therapy, and enhanced staffing to support covid needs while running therapeutic programs.
With help from many of you last year I raised a whopping 963.00!!! I would LOVE to beat that goal and round it up to an even 1000.00. SO! If I can get 5.00 from 200 people this year that would put me at my goal. Last year I asked for 2.00 (A Tim’s Coffee) from 400 people and this year I’m asking for 5.00 (A Starbucks Coffee) from 200 people, but truly ANYTHING is so greatly appreciated!
Even the smallest contribution to a good cause can collectively make a very great impact.
