Star Tribune Ugly Tie 5k Presented by Becker Furniture World
June 19 Father’s Day
Grab your sneakers and the ugliest tie you can find and join us on Father’s Day for the 5th annual Ugly Tie 5K fun run! This family-friendly event features a full day of fun with an incredible 5K course and a Kid's Half-K along the scenic downtown Minneapolis riverfront. Prizes will be awarded for the ugliest tie.
This is a chip timed event and all finishers (including the kids!) will receive a commemorative Ugly Tie performance t-shirt, a medal to celebrate their achievement and a complimentary beverage after the race! Then, stick around for the Stone Arch Bridge Festival featuring 200+ artists, music and a car show. Kids Half-K starts at 9:45 a.m. and 5k starts at 10:00 a.m.

Race Route
Race Route: Mill Ruins Park is a park in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, standing on the west side of Saint Anthony Falls on the Mississippi River. The park interprets the history of flour milling in Minneapolis and shows the ruins of several flour mills that were abandoned.
