Grab your family and friends, put on a Santa suit and run an IN-PERSON Santa race. Santa Suit and chipped timed results included!

Special Group Rate!

Register a group of 4 or more Santas on the same transaction for only $50 a person! This special rate only applies to the in-person Santa 5K or Santa 10K with a suit events. A minimum of 4 participants must be registered in a single transaction for the discount to take effect.

We will be raising funds for Hamilton Food Share, please consider donating if you are able to. We will also be collecting food donations at the race.

In-person Event Details

In the case of cancellation of the in-person race, we will not be issuing any refunds or returning the difference in pricing. If the in-person event is cancelled you will automatically be switched into the virtual race.

The in-person race will be hosted at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club. Both the 5KM and 10KM route is an out-and-back style course that starts and ends at the yacht club. Everyone who participates in the in-person event will get a breakfast from the yacht club.

Please enter the doors on the left from inside the main entrance to access the yacht club. The Royal Hamilton Yacht Club has a NO HAT Policy. When entering the yacht club you must remove your hat.

Start Times:

The kids 1KM event will start at 9:40AM (there will be time to do both the 1KM event as well as the 5KM or 10KM event).

The 10KM race will start at 10:00AM

The 5KM race will start at 10:10AM

You can register for the no-suit option in-person at any of the race kit pickups or on race day.

Parking

There will be no parking available at the yacht club as that is where we will be setting up our start/finish line and tents. Parking is available at the Ice Skating Rink at Pier 8 (preferred) as well as the Leander Boat Club (limited).

Race Route

The in-person race will be hosted at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club. Both the 5KM and 10KM route is an out-and-back style course that starts and ends at the yacht club. The 5KM race will turn around at the end of the Bayfront Park loop and the 10KM race will turn around at the bridge.

Note: we will monitor the weather leading up to the race and if the trails are in poor condition, we will only host the 5KM event. A decision will be made the week of the race.

Virtual Event Details

Track your virtual run/walk and submit your results for the Santa Run using the ASICS Runkeeper™ app

The Santa virtual race can be completed anytime between December 1st and December 31st

How to track your run/walk and record your results using the Runkeeper^TMapp:

1. From your mobile device, go to your Race Roster dashboard for this event HERE
2. Click on the “Connect to my app” button, where you will be asked to confirm your name within the app (confirm your name and the event will be added to your app)
3. Revisit the Runkeeper™ app when you are ready to participate. From your start screen, click the flag symbol (bottom right) and select the race to start recording.
4. Complete your distance and save the activity. Your results will be automatically posted to the Race Roster leaderboard HERE
5. From the results page, click on your name to see your finisher summary

How to submit your results without Runkeeper^TMapp:

Please submit the results for your virtual race on the results page.

3. Click the submit a virtual result button

4. Enter your time it took you to complete the race and submit your results.

Everyone who posts their results will receive a virtual finisher's certificate.
