Buy a Heart, Safe a Life! SCCAD Outreach is putting on its first 5k event in support of heart-health. Funding generated from this event will directly impact our community by helping us continue our flagship program, Lifesaver CPR. Through this initiative we send our highly trained paramedics to public venues, high schools, and businesses to teach Hands-Only-CPR to the community at no cost.
Each participant will receive a heart to place onto their bib that may be used for raffling after the race. Placing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be given out to the best times for men’s and women’s runners. Registrants will receive a commemorative medal and t-shirt while supplies last. Pre-race coffee, snacks, and drinks will be provided as well as post-race refreshments.
Fire, EMS, police and hospital workers can participate at a discounted rate. Email president@sccadoutreach.org with proof of employment to receive a discount code and sign up for only $30!

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be at Fleet Feet St. Charles on Saturday, April 23rd from 10am-5pm, and on race morning beginning at 7:00am.
Awards
All finishers will receive a finisher medal. The top 3 male and female overall finishers will receive awards.
Pet Policy
Due to potential congestion on the course, pets are not allowed during the run. Strollers are welcome, but must start towards the back of the start and be courteous to other runners on the path.
Course Map
The course will start and finish near the Sunset Pavilion at Lakeside 370 Park, and feature 2 loops of the northeast corner of the park's paved running/walking path.
