The Moore household is affected with migraines on an almost daily basis and, if not migraines, then headaches. Kelly has been a long time suffer of migraines and over the past two years has begun seeing a Neurology Team at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health that has begun to bring some relief for her.

As with any illness, disease or condition, when it affects one member of the family - it affects all members of the family. Kelly, Joe and Zachary all have their daily lives affected. It is our hope that by helping to raise both awareness of the significant impact that migraines can have on people and to raise financial support to help people suffering from migraines, then its negative impact will decrease and families can go on to live more normal lives.

According to American Migraine Foundation almost 40 million American’s live with migraines and other headache disorders. That makes migraines the third most common illness in the world. If you’ve ever had a migraine you know how debilitating it can be. Yet many migraine sufferers suffer in silence.

It’s time to advocate for those that suffer from migraines and other headache disorders and their loved ones. In order to do that we must bond together as a team. The Moore family invites you to join our team in different ways - you can walk/run with us on October 15 at Meadowlark Park in Winston-Salem and/or you can donate to the team member or team.

A bit about our Team Logo. Light sensitivity is one of Kelly’s major triggers and sources of increased pain - the lightbulb represents one of the many possible sources of pain and the sunglasses help decrease the intensity of the pain of a loved one. Our daughter illustrated the lightbulb with the heart shaped glasses to represent her love for Kelly and the longing for relief for the many people who suffer from such debilitating pain. Our goal is No Moore Migraines, for the Moore family and for everyone else.
