UChicago Alumni & Friends 5k is an inclusive event for families and individuals of ALL abilities!
The Alumni Club of Chicago invites individuals and families throughout the University community to move this spring. This fully inclusive 5k is for everyone - all ages and all abilities are encouraged to participate! We welcome you to lace up your shoes and complete your own race wherever and whenever you'd like. The proceeds go to support the UChicago Odyssey Scholarship Fund.
- The first 100 college reunion participants who register will receive an additional gift in honor of their milestone: UChicago Traditions socks.
- Any founding runners (those who have run both previous virtual 5k's) who register will receive a commemorative 3-peat button.
- Win prizes for the following categories:
- Top male, female and non-binary time
- Furthest Runner from Chicago, IL
- Top recruiter
- Family Raffle; all families who submit a photo to UCVirtual5K@gmail.com will be entered to win four (4) tickets to the Museum of Science and Industry "Art of Brick" exhibit and one parking pass.
Dates and Times
The deadline to register is Saturday, April 30. You can complete the 5k anytime between Sunday, May 1 at midnight CT and Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Location
You pick - anywhere on Earth! Enjoy 3.1 miles of walking or running inside or outside at the location of your choice.
Race Packets
Race packets vary by registration type. If your registration includes a race package, they ship after the race ends. You will receive an email notification to the email you registered with UPSP tracking information once it has shipped. Due to recent events, items in your order may experience delays in delivery beyond our standard shipping times.
Registration Options
$40.00/Individual Domestics with Race Packet includes a finisher medal, UChicago branded T-shirt, and downloadable bib and finisher certification. $60.00/Individual International with Race Packet includes a finisher medal, UChicago branded T-shirt, and downloadable bib and finisher certification.
$40.00/No Race Packet includes the option not to receive a race packet and donate all proceeds to the Odyssey Scholarship Fund.
$90.00/Family domestic (up to four family members) with Family Race Packet includes four (4) finisher medals, two (2) UChicago branded T-shirts, and a custom-made miniature replica of Cobb Gate made of 100% LEGO bricks, and downloadable bibs and finisher certifications.
