The 19th Annual Perseverance Trail Run is coming to Cumberland on October 30th, 2022! In 2021 we raised over $30,000!!
Once again, we are raising funds for the Cumberland Community Forest Society and we would like to encourage you to make a small (or big!) donation to the CCFS during your registration. Team up with your friends and coworkers - there are prizes for top individual and team fundraisers!
Your donations DO make a difference and many hectares of forest land have been purchased and protected by the CCFS, to date. With your help, the CCFS will be able to protect more of the Cumberland Forest for all to enjoy! Thank you in advance for your support.

This fun event will take you through lightly undulating wooded sections of the Cumberland Community Forest Trails. There are a few ups and downs, twists and turns and maybe even a little water. If you like fresh air and want to sample cross country running, then this course is for you. All ages welcome and this course is perfect for the little ones. However, parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of their children and asked to accompany small children on the course.
12K Mountain Run
Start Time - 11:01am
The 12K course features some of the most breathtaking running trails imaginable. It is a classic mountain trail course, so expect to run up and down plenty of hills, through soft forest paths and technical single-track mountain bike trails, over bridges and logs, through water and along creeks in the Cumberland Community Forest. TRANSFERS
We are a small operation and do not have the capacity to administer transfers, but you can do a transfer in RaceRoster.
Please read everything below before contacting us.
BEFORE REGISTRATION CLOSES:
Transfers must be completed yourself through RaceRoster, instructions are below.
Only two types of transfers are available:

- Transfer your registration to someone else but MUST be for the same distance (i.e. 3k or 12k). You cannot switch events (3k or 12k) if you received a transferred registration (this is a RaceRoster technological limitation). So, be sure if you want to race the 12k, you get someone to transfer you an 12k registration.
Other information on transfers:
- Transfers can only take place before registration closes. Check the main page for the exact date/time.
- There is a fee to cover transaction costs.
- The person receiving the transfer must pay the full registration amount at the time of the transfer. The person giving the registration will be credited.
AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES
- We can manually transfer you from the 12k to 3k at race bib pickup on race day, BEFORE RACE-BIB PICKUP CLOSES. Get there early please.
- No transfers from the 3k to 12k will be permitted.

Breaking any of these policies will result in a ban from future Perseverance Trail Run Races:
- REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY - Only registered in-person racers may be on the course during the race and if you are found racing the course without valid registration, you will be banned from future events.
- SWAPPING - No swapping bibs. If you are caught breaking this rule you will be disqualified and banned from future events.
- CAN NOT COMPLETE - If you cannot complete the course for ANY reason, you MUST notify one of our Course Marshals or Finish Line crew. We don’t want to send Search And Rescue out to find you if you have gone home and are having a nap :) Just let us know, please. Thank you!
OTHER IMPORTANT POLICIES
- RUNNING - This is a running race, there are cut-off times (see below).
- DOGS/STROLLERS - No dogs or strollers permitted.
- POLES - No poles permitted, please.
- HEADPHONES - No headphones please, a single earbud only is permitted. You need to hear the people around you for safety.
- COURSE MAPS - Courses will be marked, but you should familiarize yourself with the course in advance for safety and help you crush your time! Visit perseverancetrailrun.com for course maps.
- FIRST AID - Review the course maps for course marshals and first aid stations. Visit perseverancetrailrun.com for course maps.
- CHILDREN ON 3KM COURSE - Parents are fully responsible for their children's safety and should remain with them at all times.

You must run most of the route in order to make it. If you do not reach the cut-off by then, you will be directed to a shorter version of the course.
- BRIDGES - Walk all bridges! They are bouncy and slippery and must be walked. No running is permitted on elevated bridges for your safety and the safety of those around you. Don't worry, they are short and will have little impact on your time!
- STAY ON TRAIL - You are a trail runner, be prepared to run through mud and puddles. Please do not take short-cuts and sidestep puddles as this damages the surrounding foliage.
