GET READY TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING!

This year’s Care of the Athletic Heart course starts early with our second annual Virtual 5K Run Challenge. Join us at the starting line for this unique opportunity to come together with your learner community for some heart healthy competition and the chance to win one of several great prizes. May the fastest racers win!

HOW IT WORKS:

• Complimentary access to the Virtual 5K Run Challenge is included with your course registration!
• Your run can be completed anytime between Sunday, May 29th and Friday, June 3rd at 9:00 am ET.
• You can plot your own route wherever you like — in your neighborhood, on a trail, or at the gym on a treadmill.
• During your 5K, you may listen to a curated music playlist from course leadership (see below)!
• Use the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to automatically share your time or manually post your time after you complete the 5K challenge.
• Take a picture and post it to social media using #ACCAthleticHeart and #SportsCardio.
• Prizes will be awarded to the male and female runners with the fastest times:
  • 1st Prize – Signed copy of the textbook, Sports Cardiology: Care of the Athletic Heart from the Clinic to the Sidelines
  • 2nd Prize – Fitbit Fitness Tracker
  • 3rd Prize - $50 Amazon Gift Card
• Winners will be announced during the final session of the course on Friday, June 3rd
