My Story…
On average, a homeless person in Toronto walks about 15km a day just to survive. For those of us who count steps, that's roughly 20,000! This October, I will walk and run daily to raise money for Haven Toronto's Walktober fundraiser event. Haven's work is essential to the community of elder homeless men they serve. In fact, Haven punches way above its weight in providing health services, shelter, meals and a sense of belonging to its clients. I've had the good fortune to be connected to Haven for several years, and I'm proud to participate in Walktober for my second year. Please give what you can, and if you're curious about the work Haven does, send me a note. I'd love to have a chat about it. Look for the "Make a donation" buttons at the top of this page. Did you find them? Click there. The web page will take you through the steps.
