1) How do I participate?

Walk, run, hike or bike – it’s up to you! You can challenge yourself to reach a specific goal or dedicate more time to staying active during the month of Walktober.

2) Is there a fee to sign up?

No. This year's registration is free thanks to a sponsor.

3) Can I fundraise on my own or do I need to be a part of a team?

You can do either. Fundraise on your own or ask friends and family to join your team and fundraise together. There are terrific prizes for fundraising.

4) Is fundraising mandatory?

Walktober is about raising awareness of the barriers facing elder men impacted by poverty, homelessness and isolation. Fundraising is not mandatory. Any funds that are raised will support vital programs at Haven Toronto.

5) Are donations tax-receiptable?

Donations of $20 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt. Upon making a donation you will receive a receipt from Race Roster. This is not a tax receipt. An official Tax Receipt will be sent by Haven Toronto at the end of the campaign.

6) What will my donation go towards?

All donations will support programs and services offered by Haven Toronto, including healthy meals for elder homeless men.

7) Can the top team fundraising prize be divided up amongst the team?

Yes. The prize can be one (1) gift card valued at $400 or gift cards of smaller denominations totalling $400 for individual use.
