Riverkeeper Open Water Swim/Nage en eau libre Garde-rivière

For the 2022 race, both the 1.5K and the 4K will start and finish at Lac Deschênes Sailing Club.

General Information

• Food will be provided. Please note that due to the current situation with Covid 19, food may be limited in keeping with the current Provincial requirements at the time of the event.
• Swim caps will be provided for each swimmer and MUST BE WORN for identification purposes during the race
• A number will be inked on upper back/shoulder of each swimmer
• Swimmers should not undertake this swim unless they are physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate safely
• There will not be a "rain date" and a delay (or cancellation) would only occur in the event of lightning

Tom was the founder and Race Director of the annual Riverkeeper 4K swim. He had the vision to swim from one shore of the historic Ottawa River to the other. He swam it, and then invited all fellow swimmers to participate in what he called an epic charity event. His passion for the event was contagious.
