My Story…
This is my first year (attempt) at swimming and finishing the RiverKeeper 4km swim/race. One of the main reasons I am doing this race this year is to support the Riverkeeper group. These folks do amazing work at protecting and saving the Ottawa River and the connecting watershed. An amazing effort to ensure that this important river is accessible, clean and safe for generations to come. I hope you will support this work.
Description
Ottawa Riverkeeper has been bringing people together to protect and promote the ecological health of the Ottawa River and watershed for over 20 years! With a watershed bigger than the size of England, measuring 1,271 km (from source to mouth), the Ottawa River is home to more than 24 imperiled species, such as the American eel and the Hickorynut Mussel.
Your donation will help to fund vital programs like the Pollution Hotline, our Watershed Health Assessment & Monitoring program, our Riverwatch network of incredible volunteers, and more!
Thank you for caring about the mighty Kichi Sibi and for joining the growing movement to help protect and steward the lakes, creeks and rivers in our vast watershed!
