Help us raise money

We’d like to extend an invitation to join us for the Remembrance Walk hosted by Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep –  a foundation geared towards providing the gift of remembrance portraits to parents experiencing the death of a baby, something we were never offered by Stony Brook Hospital, where Charlie passed. We’ve created a team “Chasing Charlie’s Sunsets” that will meet on the morning of October 1st at Mt. Sinai Congregational Church at 10am. Together, we'll walk the path off our sweet girls cemetery that leads out to the harbor, or what we’ve been calling “Charlie’s Beach”.  We know many may not be able to join in person, but the walk may also be done virtually, in your own neighborhood. Whether you've chosen to attend virtually or in person, we'd love to know! We love you all so much! 

FAQ: 

Q: Oh no! Registration closed! Can I still come?

A:  Of course! Wear yellow and come prepared with hugs! Just please let us know so we have some sort of head count. 

Q: I can't make the in person walk, how do I walk virtually?

A: You can still register on our team & walk! On the day of the walk, shoot us a text with your shirt or wearing Charlie's favorite color, yellow and  and walk! 

Q: I can't walk, can I donate? 

A: Of course! Our goal is to provide photographers for as many families as possible. We have also contacted Stony Brook Hospital requesting they begin informing loss families of this amazing foundation in hopes no other family leaves their doors without as many photographs as possible of their sweet babies. 

Q: What kind of path/trail is it?

A: Mostly grassy but with some rough dirt patches. Brian and I walk it often, we can take photos if you'd like them! Definitely wear sneakers! 

Q: How long is the path?

A: I'd say about a mile total, nothing crazy! We'll get the total before the walk, promise.

Q: Is there a bathroom?

A: There is not!
