Cincinnati Aruna Run
#RUNforherfreedom
Aruna is an international human rights non-profit dedicated to creating lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking. The Aruna Run Race Series is the catalyst of the freedom process with 100% of registration fees and additional donations going to help free enslaved women.
So grab some friends, lace up your shoes, and let's run together for her freedom!
Why Register?
We know there are a lot of local 5Ks to choose from that benefit great causes. So why should you register for the 13th Annual Cincinnati Aruna Run?
- Direct impact. 100% of registration fees and additional donations go towards the Aruna Project's mission of freeing, employing, and empowering survivors of human trafficking. Our fundraising goal this year is $100,000. Race expenses are covered by the generosity of local business sponsors.
- Run for Her. You choose the name of an enslaved woman to run or walk for at the race and write her name on your race bib. You will then receive updates on her freedom journey throughout the year.
- Race swag crafted in freedom. Race swag bags are hand-made by our Artisans, freed, in part, by funds raised in previous Aruna Runs.
- Local impact. We are excited to be partnering again with BLOC Ministries to support their efforts to fight human trafficking and address food insecurities here in Cincinnati. This year, we are incorporating a food gift card donation drive to benefit BLOC’s programs that help eliminate hunger for an estimated 7,500 people each year in East, West and Lower Price Hill.

Build Your Team!
Building a team is one of the most powerful ways you can help us raise funds for freedom. Team members can participate in any of our sub-events, including the virtual option. Companies with more than 25 employees wanting to participate can form multiple teams.
Here are the small ways we thank team captains for going the extra mile to build teams:
10+ team members: Aruna headband
15+ team members: Aruna Run duffel bag
20+ team members: $50 Aruna gift card
25+ team members: Aruna product of choice
One thank you gift awarded per Team Captain, based on the total number of team members recruited by Saturday, 9/3/22 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Thank you gifts will be available to pick up from the Results & Awards tent at the race on 9/5/22. For team captains participating in a virtual race, thank you gifts will be mailed to the address on file the week after the run.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are walkers welcome?
Of course! Whether walking or running, we are all out there for the same goal -- to raise funds to help bring freedom to the sexually enslaved.
Are dogs welcome?
As much as we love our furry, four-legged friends, they are not allowed to participate in the race. However, they are welcome to cheer on the sidelines along the course.
Can I get a refund if I cannot make it?
Refunds are not available. However, we are happy to convert your registration to a donation. E-mail sprudhomme@arunaproject.com.
