Raise money for Love Mercy
As the major charity partner of the Sydney Half this year, Love Mercy Foundation has a goal to repair 10 wells in northern Uganda. Your donation will contribute to repairing a well in a community that currently doesn’t have access to clean water. Women and children walk several kilometres three times each day to collect water for their family, and if the well is broken that can mean collecting water from a swamp or a water source shared with animals. By repairing 10 wells, together we can bring clean water to over 5,000 people.
Love Mercy began in 2010, when Australian Olympian Eloise Wellings met Ugandan Olympian and former child soldier, Julius Achon.
After competing in the Olympics and building a life in America, Julius returned home to Uganda. His community were suffering in famine, and Julius & Eloise vowed to help.
Our three main projects increase access to education, health care and income generation for thousands of families after decades of civil war.
