Central Alberta Dog Running (CADR)

Join Central Alberta Dog Running (CADR) at Heritage Ranch, Alberta for our spring dryland event!

Parking: Ample parking available
Race Start Area: The race start and sign-in will all be held on The Horse Trail next to the visitor Center
Race Meetings: A quick race-day briefing will be held 45 minutes prior to the first event.

Time: Racer meeting 7am sharp

Race start: 7:45am

The following Regional Circuit race classes are being offered:
1 Dog Bikejoring Standard

2 Dog Bikejoring Standard
1 or 2-Dog Scooter Standard
1 Dog Canicross Standard

Distance

The race route will be approximately 4.6KM.

Standard Distance Course Description:
Part of this route is wide with lots of room for passing from behind. There will be no head-on passing. The trail is very obvious and the race course will be well marked. The terrain is a mix of gravel and dirt & a little bit of grass.

Rules:

Because harness dog sports involve more than human athletes, our rules for participants incorporate more than the expected rules to ensure fair competition. These rules also address factors that can impact the health and safety of our canine and human teammates - things like the age of the dog for competition, sport-specific gear requirements for humans and dogs, trail rules (such as passing), and good sportsmanship.

• 1 dog Scooter
• 2 dog Scooter
• 1 dog Canicross

*Depending on the number of participates of bike & scooter they may go together. *

• Heats of 5 will be created to prevent head on passing.
