What does 246+ represent?
246 is the number of RCMP Members who have died on duty, The “+” stands for the Members who have died by suicide. Since we have no way of knowing exactly how many there are, we have used the “+” symbol to ensure they are included in the tally.
Who can participate in this event?
Anyone! This event is open to all Canadians who wish to show their support to fallen Members and their families, including NPF Members and their families.
Do I have to run or walk?
Any movement that can be measured in distance is encouraged! Paddle, ride, walk, run, roll, swim… The choice is yours!
Move to Remember 2022 features new ways to participate including categories for cyclists, a “3 for Free” option for veterans, children under 12, and seniors, alongside a new “Elite” tier for participants looking for a bigger challenge.
How will I submit my mileage?
You can submit your completed mileage to your Race Roster in two ways:
- You can upload your virtual results directly to your profile, or
- You can use the integrated Asics RunKeeper app (free) to track your activity and automatically uploads it to your Race Roster profile. Learn more here.
How will funds be used?
This annual fundraising campaign will support the work of the NPF Benevolent Foundation (NPFBF). The NPFBF helps and supports the families of fallen Members in the short and long term. Learn more about the NPFBF here.
