Grand Finish Sat 3rd Dec 2022
The Nov 2022 Hunt 1000 Bikepacking event will take you from Melbourne to Canberra and traverse 1000kms through the rooftop of Australia linking backcountry trails, alpine landscapes, stunning campsites, historic huts, small towns and amazing riding along the way.
The mountains are always out there to be ridden but the Hunt 1000 event offers riders the chance to ride a pre-planned route, receive support in the lead up to the event, join an awesome group of other riders also taking on the challenge and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with this shared adventure. You'll also enjoy a midway checkpoint camp, a group chat and updates from the event organiser throughout the event, and finally beers/afterparty at the finish line.
Your departure date, selected by you (average is 10 days), should have you arrive in Canberra on Sat the 3rd Dec 2022. This is not a race, the aim is to get to Canberra so be sure to give yourself enough time.
For the first time there is also a half Hunt (~500km) option for those who want to enjoy the experience of the Hunt 1000 over half the distance. You will complete the second half of the route starting at the midway checkpoint and finishing in Canberra on the same date.
