Run with us
The Truist Training Tours are a series of training runs designed to take runners on routes through lesser run Charlotte neighborhoods, highlighting places of diversity and historical significance while telling the story of each neighborhood as you train. Truist is not only the title sponsor of the ATC10K taking place on September 4th, but has entitled the training tours as a way to amplify the voices of all in the Queen City as we work towards making the start line look more like Charlotte as a whole.
Stonewall Sports x Front Runners – Pride Run
For our second tour of 2022, we’re excited to partner with Stonewall Sports and Front Runners to celebrate Pride Month. Both clubs are two of the Carolina’s largest LGBTQ+ sports organization for running and amateur sports. The route, highlighted below, will be an all paces welcome 4 mile run/walk just south of the Around the Crown 10K course in September!
The event will begin at 9:00am at Common Market in South End with parking available onsite as well as street parking throughout the neighborhood. The route will lead runners west through Revolution Park on the Irwin Creek Greenway returning through the historic Wilmore neighborhood. After the run, all are invited to stick around for coffee and treats as well as good conversation about the future of the running community.
Brooks Running is joining the party on this one with giveaways, prizes and demos! Brooks believes in the freedom to be yourself in life and on the run. As part of their celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and Pride, they’ve released the Run Proud Collection each spring. This year, they took the design to a new level and found the perfect partner in renowned artist Lisa Congdon and we have pieces from her collection for you!
