Resolution run
The annual Wild Earth NYE Resolution Run will be based at the stunning Emerald Lakes Golf Club, with all events commencing on the golf course proper, before heading out on the leafy, wetlands path bordering the course, re-entering the course and snaking its way to the clubhouse. The 'mygc physio' 4km and 'Run Resilience' Pram Push conclude here, whilst the 'fisiocrem' 8km and 'Run the World' 12km events continue via the Birmingham Road underpass, out and back along the flat and fast lakeside path.
Of course, the kids haven't been forgotten; with the 'Dr Drew Moffrey' Junior Dash offering two races; so that even the youngest of family members can feel part of our active and healthy New Year's Eve celebrations.
Entry includes a post-race drink so you can refuel or kick start your night (depending on your choice of drink) and start to relax! We are very fortunate to have the support in 2022 of Mountain Goat Beer and Robert Oatley Vineyards so you can settle in, sip or slam a tasty beverage (the kids will have the choice of soft drink or juice) and enjoy the live music, whilst the kids go play and then take in the fireworks display at the family friendly time of 7.15pm (note this is slightly earlier than years past). There’ll be giant games, jumping castles and activities for the kids earlier in the day and of course; the bar – so you can ‘rehydrate’ and celebrate your last day of 2022 in style.
Venue
The entire event shall be conducted at the Emerald Lakes Golf Club on the Corner of Alabaster Drive and Broadbeach/Nerang Road.
There will be event specific off-street parking located off Alabaster Drive (opposite to Metricon Stadium). This is the parking for the event and has capacity for 500 vehicles. Parking here is via a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to charity. Additional street parking is available at Emerald Lakes Parklands.
Parking in the Golf Club itself is reserved for Club patrons, we do ask that event patrons take advantage of the parking provided immediately adjacent to the venue.
There are limited shower facilities, extra toilets and a hand washing facility will be provided for event participants. The clubhouse facility should primarily be used for Clubhouse guests. The course itself will be shut for golf for the duration of the event.
Event village
Please feel free to bring camp chairs, bean bags, picnic rugs and shade etc. so you can enjoy the festivities provided to help celebrate a great event and an exciting year ahead. If you’re with a club and have a marquee, please email us and we will allocate space for you along the finish line!
Recovery zone
Take advantage of the free drink provided by our event partners; Mountain Goat Beer, Robert Oatley Vineyards and for the kids; a soft option courtesy of Trail Trips & Events; after you finish your run! Simply present you tear-off tab from your race bib!
We will also have iced water and FIXX Nutrition’s FUEL X electrolyte slushies available for FREE!
Our good friends fisiocrem will be on hand providing some FREE post race massages too, so our runners can loosen up after their efforts out on course!
Wild Earth Community Carnival
The running isn’t necessary; it’s just another aspect of this fantastic community celebration of New Year’s Eve. There’ll be jumping castles, giant games, live music, entertainment and activities for the kids - and of course fireworks! There’s food trucks to feed the masses and a bar with soft drinks and water for the kids, and some of the finer drops for the adults!
Pack your camp chairs and picnic blankets and settle in for a great evening. Entry is free with thanks to our fantastic partners including Wild Earth, Cr. Bob La Castra, Trail Trips & Events and of course, our hosts; Emerald Lakes Golf Club.
