Come Run and Walk with us to support the Central Ohio Community on Labor Day, Monday, September 5!
After a two-year hiatus, the "Run For the Health of It" is back but with a new name and an exciting new course! We are excited to announce the "4 The Health Of It" - a 4 Mile and 2 mile run/walk, taking place on Labor Day, September 5.
This fun family-oriented event will start and finish at the Westerville campus of Central Ohio Primary Care and utilizes the great biking and running trails plus a few roadways that surround the campus. The course is designed in partnership with the City of Westerville to provide you the flexibility to take part in the distance of your choosing in a safe and comfortable manner.
Why Participate?
For the past 11 years, Central Ohio Primary Care has organized a 4 mile run/walk and 2 mile family fun walk to benefit the communities we serve. All proceeds from the event go back into our Central Ohio community to improve the overall physical and emotional health of the underserved. Since inception, we have granted close to $1 million to local charities in Central Ohio.
What is Cost to Participate?
Registration for the 4 mile walk/run:
- $25 through July 4
- $30 through September 4
- $35 Race day.
Registration for the 2 mile walk/run:
- $15 through July 4
- $20 through September 4
- $25 Race day.
Shirts, Awards & Finisher Medal
Participants (guaranteed to registrations through August 15) will receive an event shirt. The top three overall finishers (male & female) for the 4 mile run will receive a commemorative award.
All participants will receive a great-looking commemorative finisher medal.
Advance Packet Pick-up
- Friday, September 2 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 3 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Note: There is race day pick-up at the race site but we encourage you to pick-up in advance. One person can pick-up for multiple people.

FAQ
Q: WHERE SHOULD I PARK FOR THE EVENT?
A: There is parking at the Central Ohio Primary Care - Westerville Campus. There will be parking options arranged at surrounding businesses. We encourage all participants to arrive early and park at the campus. We also encourage other modes of transportation from local bus service to riding your bike! There will be bike racks available at event. Please bring a lock for your bike!
Q: IS THE 4 THE HEALTH OF IT A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT?
A: Yes.
Q: WHAT IS CENTRAL OHIO PRIMARY CARE FOUNDATION AND WHAT IS THEIR MISSION?
A: Central Ohio Primary Care Foundation is a non profit organization that provides financial support for non-profit organization that support local and community priorities. For more info, check out Central Ohio Primary Care Foundation's website.
Q: HOW ARE THE FUNDS RAISED FROM THIS EVENT USED?
A. All proceeds from this event go towards supporting local non-profit organization programs and services.
Q: OK, I AM A RUNNER OR WALKER AND JUST ARRIVED ON SITE, WHAT DO I DO FIRST?
A: Look for the registration/check-in tent (area). If you have pre-registered, look for that sign marked “Pre-Registration”. Check in with the volunteers. You will be given your event shirt, event race bib, and other items.
If you have not pre-registered, look for the sign that says “Registration”.
Q: DO I GET A T-SHIRT?
A: T-shirts will be guaranteed for everyone who pre-registers by August 15. There will be additional shirts ordered over the August 15 registration; however, availability will be limited. If you want a shirt, register early!
Q: HOW DO I VOLUNTEER FOR THIS EVENT?
A: Check out our Volunteer page for all of the different volunteer opportunities.
Q: WHAT IS THE COURSE LIKE?
A: The course is primarily on the paved running and biking trails surrounding the COPC campus. Certain parts of the trail will cross roads or in part be on road to connect certain parts of the trail.
Q: WHAT IF I GET THIRSTY ON THE COURSE?
A: The run and walk course will have a water station at the approximately halfway point of the course. Temperature dependent, there will be another water station added. There will be water at the finish line.
Q: WHAT IF I HAVE TO USE THE RESTROOM?
A: Portable bathroom facilities will be available at the event site.
Q: SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT EVENT! WHO MADE ALL OF THIS POSSIBLE?
A: YOU WILL through your participation!! Also, we have a number of local, caring businesses helping us out. Some of them are mentioned on the Corporate Sponsor page.
