Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies

Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies is Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri's annual run. This year we are excited to be offering in-person and virtual participation options. In-person participants are invited to join us on November 26 to participate in the 5k or 1-mile run/walk. Virtual participants will have the opportunity to complete their run or walk over a 10-day period from November 18-27, 2022. So whether you run on a treadmill, jog around the neighborhood or walk a local trail, our virtual event is a great option to participate in this event. Race packets will be mailed to all virtual participants. Register by October 31 to guarantee you receive your packet by November 18th.


All 5K and 1-mile participants will receive a commemorative Girl Scout themed medal. Participants have the option to choose a t-shirt or swag bundle with their registration. Swag quantities are limited, so register early to guarantee your preferred choice. A custom event patch is available for ordering during registration. Top finishers in each age category along with top 3 overall will receive free Girl Scout cookies! Break a sweat and get moving with friends and family at Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies!

  • The 5K will begin at 8:00am. This event is chip timed and has awards.

  • The 1 Mile will begin at 9:00am. This event is an untimed fun run.

  • Virtual Participants can run their 5K anywhere they choose between November 18th and 27th and will receive instructions on how to submit their times prior to race week.

Packets can be picked up at the following times:

Swag

Participants receive a custom event short-sleeve shirt as part of their registration. Participants can opt to receive our swag bundle (neck gaiter and bib snaps) instead of the shirt or add on the individual items for an additional charge. A custom event patch is available for ordering during registration.

  • 7:00am | Race day registration/Packet pickup open
  • 8:00am | Timed 5K Run/Walk begins
  • 9:00am | 1 Mile Run/Walk begins
  • 9:20am | 5K awards announced

Event Policies

  • Dogs are not allowed to participate in the 5K run/walk or 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
  • Strollers are welcome, we just ask that you start towards the back of the field

Awards

All in-person and virtual participants will receive a Girl Scout themed finisher medal. Special Opportunity this year to get a box of the new Raspberry Rally cookie before they go on sale! Winners in each age group and the overall winners will receive a box of the new cookie! Cookies for the top 3 male and female overall finishers in the 5K (in-person only). Cookies will be given to the top 1 male and female finishers of the 5K (in-person) in the following age groups:13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over.
