The Alton Miles for Meso is a 5K race and 3K fun run/walk held in historic Alton, Illinois. This year's event returns as an in person and virtual event on Saturday, Sept. 24. Everyone who registers will receive a custom participation medal in addition to the regular long-sleeve, moisture-wicking T-shirt.
Registration opens on July 11. All participants will receive a race shirt, race bag and participation medal with registration. Recommend registering by Aug. 26 to receive your shirt size.
In person 5K runners are eligible for cash prizes and age group medals.
Virtual participants will virtually report their results on the results page on raceday, Sept. 24. Please share pictures and join in our social conversations on Facebook and Twitter by using the hashtag #MilesForMeso.
Presented by Simmons Hanly Conroy and coordinated by the Metro Tri Club, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization. Since 2009, the race has raised more than $468,000 for mesothelioma cancer research and awareness.
