Welcome to the PHL5K! Participants get to experience running on a tarmac while seeing commercial and general aviation aircrafts taking off and landing on different runways!
While there, be sure to check out the impressive displays of fire apparatus, snow removal equipment and airline ground support equipment. This is truly a once in a life time opportunity!
Bring the entire family! You'll find something for everyone of all ages:
- Kids dash (races categories ages 1-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-10)
- Face painting
- Mascots
- Other kids activities
Kids events take place outside the tarmac area in our enclosed parking area, designed just for fun! This area will bring the feel of the airfield race to your little ones and makes for a great photo op!
In addition to supporting worthy causes, participants will receive a moisture wicking PHL5K Run shirt, along with post nutrition food and beverages.
Proceeds benefit March of Dimes, Eastwick Friends & Neighbors Coalition (EFNC) and Eastwick United CDC (EU).
Award medals will be given to the top RUN finishers in the following categories:
Overall top male
Overall top female
Overall top non-binary
Top men and women in the following age categories:
12 and under
13-20
21-30
31-40
41-50
51-60
61 and over
NOTE:
- The event is rain or shine and non-refundable!
- There is NO race day registration.
- Only registered runners will be permitted on the race course.
- Spectators must remain in the parking/waiting area.
- Shirts sizes are ONLY GUARANTEED if you register by Friday, August 15th - after this, shirts size will be based on availability!

Proper Identification
Everyone MUST present a valid government/state issued ID that matches your name and confirmation number on race day. Children over the age of 8 must have a photo ID – school ID is acceptable. Anyone under the age of 8, parents/guardians must show some form of ID such as a birth certificate or social security card. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Parking
Parking is free! There is a small lot next to the run location and street parking will be available.
Spectators
All run participants will go through some type of security check prior to entering the run site – only participants will be allowed into the race area. Spectators are welcome but will not be allowed access to the secure area – such as the ramp, taxiways or runways. Spectators will have to remain in the parking lot.
Pets and Strollers
Unfortunately, no pets or strollers will be allowed on the course. Authorized service dogs with credentials will be permitted.
