Philadelphia International Runway 5K Race Day Details
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday, September 6, for the 8th annual PHL 5K Run/Walk! The event is hosted by the Philadelphia International Airport.
This is a charity event that will support March of Dimes, Eastwick Friends & Neighbors Coalition (EFNC) and Eastwick United CDC (EU). This is a rain or shine event and is non-refundable.
Arrive early to pick up your shirt, bib, meet our partners and warm up!
(new this year!) We're excited to announce there will be a food truck onsite! La Liégeois waffles will be selling pre and post race treats.
You will need your ID (government/state issued/passport) for both registration and again to enter the runway. Children over the age of 8 running the course must have a photo ID (school ID is acceptable). For children under the age of 8 - parents/guardians must show some form of ID such as a birth certificate or social security card.
We will have a secure place to store your ID. You can reclaim your ID upon exiting the tarmac after the run/walk. You do not need to leave your ID, however there will be a secure spot should you wish not to run with your documents. There will be water on the course and post-race refreshments!
Note: Children in the free kids 50 yard dash will not need to be screened and ID is not required. This event is NOT on the tarmac - the dash will take place in the same area as registration.
Race date: Saturday, September 6th, 2025
Race start time: 8:30am (runners and walkers)
Registration opens: 7 am Everyone MUST present a valid government/state issued ID/passport that matches your name and confirmation number on race day.
Access to runway opens: 8:15 am
Kids Dash Start Time: 9 am
There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION! Unfortunately, TSA restricts onsite day of registration. All participants have been pre-screened for security purposes and no walk ups will be allowed.
Location: Atlantic Aviation: PHL, 8375 Enterprise Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19153, United States
Parking: FREE street parking and in the parking lot adjacent to Atlantic Aviation. Please follow the signs and parking staff's direction.
Awards Time: 9:30 am. Award medals will be given to the top RUN finishers in the following categories:
- Overall top male
- Overall top female
- Overall top non-binary
Top male and female in the following age groups:
- 12 and under
- 13-20
- 21-30
- 31-40
- 41-50
- 51-60
- 60 and over
All run/walk participants will go through some type of security check prior to entering the run site – only participants will be allowed into the race area. Spectators are welcome but, not allowed access to the secure area (such as the ramp, taxiways or runways). Spectators will have to remain in the parking lot.
Note: The free kids 50 yard dash event will be in the parking lot.
Unfortunately, no pets or strollers will be allowed on the course. Authorized service dogs with credentials will be permitted.
The event is rain or shine and non-refundable.
Shirts were ONLY GUARANTEED to those who registered by Saturday, August 15th, otherwise based on availability!
