Of the more than 80,000 patients who visit the BC Children's Hospital every year, 68% of them live outside of Vancouver and most have no place to stay while their child receives the life-saving medical care they require. This is where Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon comes in. Since opening its doors to the community in 1983, we have heard from countless families who share stories about how RMH BC has positively impacted their lives through the most difficult of times.

        There is a tremendous emotional and financial burden that comes with having to leave your home. At RMH BC, we only ask that families contribute $12 a night - if they are able to. In reality, it costs $75 to support a family for one night and RMH BC requires support from the community to make up the difference in cost so that no family is turned away. While a portion of our annual funding comes from accommodation revenue along with contribution from our valuable partnership with McDonalds, a large portion of our funds come from the generosity of the community through annual fundraising, donations and community events.
