OUR CAUSE
Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can recur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.
SCADaddle
Join us for our 5th annual Lehigh Valley SCADaddle to raise money for much needed SCAD research. Our run/walk takes place rain or shine at Molasses Creek Park in Quakertown, PA - a kid friendly and dog friendly park. The course is a 1/2 mile loop. We encourage families to participate and do as many loops as you would like and at your own pace. Each participant will be provided a card which will be stamped for each loop completed.
Register by September 15th to guarantee this year's t-shirt.
Packet pick-up begins on October 1st at 9:30 am (event day) at Molasses Creek Park. 10:45 am Opening Ceremony, 11:00 am start time.
The SCADaddle takes place rain or shine. Come prepared by bringing your raincoat and umbrella.
There are NO refunds.
POST EVENT
After the fun run/walk we welcome you to join others under the two pavilions to mingle and socialize, but most of all to relax and have fun!!
Refreshments, Pizza and Music will be provided for your enjoyment.
