Locally owned and operated Grove Stone & Sand Company is proud to host the 14th annual Rock the Quarry Trail Experience and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, November 5th, 2022. The Kids Fun Run begins at 9:00am and the new trail experience concept (1.5 miles untimed race) will have a rolling start from 9:30am – 10:30am. We encourage all competitive runners to arrive at the start line at 9:30am for a group start. If you’d rather run on your own or walk, you have until 10:30am to begin.
Located in the heart of the Swannanoa Valley, Rock the Quarry Trail Experience is a run with a mission to bring the community together to celebrate good health and the beautiful Western North Carolina environment. All proceeds from the event benefit Grove Stone’s neighbor, the Black Mountain Home for Children, and long-time partner, the Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS).

The 1.5-mile course will start with the scenic views inside Grove Stone’s active rock quarry. Once the runners exit the quarry, they’ll wind down the mountain thru the woods on a single-track trail to the picnic shed. Unlike previous years, the course is about 90% downhill! This is an untimed run or walk.
