ABOUT METASTATIC BREAST CANCER

Prevention and early detection, the focus of much of the breast cancer research conducted in recent decades, are laudable goals. But they do no good for those who have already had breast cancer, and especially for those who have been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer which has no cure.

METAvivor works diligently to raise funds for research because this is how lives will be saved. 100% of every donation and 100% of proceeds from every fundraiser, after event expenses, goes into our research grants. METAvivor is the only organization in the US that exclusively funds MBC research through a scientific peer-to-peer review process. We award research grants to individuals with a clinical or other doctoral degree who are actively engaged in areas of metastatic breast cancer research, and whose proposals show distinct promise in making a difference for the stage 4 breast cancer community.

You can make a meaningful contribution in the fight to end death from metastatic breast cancer. It is imperative that the researchers who are dedicated to transitioning MBC to a survivable condition have the necessary funding.
