Theo's Challenge

Theo is a 7 year old boy who suffers from Batten Disease, a rare genetic disease that has impacted many of his physical and communication abilities. Assistance is required to help fund Theo's care.

Theo was diagnosed in 2019 and remains the only person in Saskatchewan living with Batten CLN2.  He started receiving infusions to his cerebral spinal fluid called Brineura. He was the 6th child in Canada to start treatment with Brineura. 

The treatment helps to stall progression of his loss of motor skills and language skills and seems to help to control his seizures.
