Stampede at Stine
When: Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 9:30 am on the beautiful
Where: FMC Stine Research Center Campus in Newark, De.
Whether you are a competitive runner, participating in your first 5K, or simply out to walk or run with your friends and the community at your own pace, this event will be sure to please!
All proceeds raised from this event will support the mission of Sean's House and the 3 objectives of the Unlocke the Light Movement:
- Educate high school and college students to the signs of depression, remove the stigma of depression, and make available resources to help people with depression and the real threat of suicide.
- Assist high school and college students with the transitions of life, helping them gain the tools to live life with mental illness and finding the tools to cope with the many challenges that life brings.
- Create a safe haven where high school and college students receive professional help and speak to peers about their struggles with depression and the threat of suicide.
Registration fees
The Stampede 5K Run Closed
A flat, fast course along the paved roadways at FMC Stine Research Center. This run is for both, competitive and recreational runners.

Race Information:
- Awards will be awarded to the top overall 3 males/females.
- Medals will be awarded to the top 3 males/females in their age group.
- Awards to top 3 Open Teams (Unlimited team size, scoring based on total time for top 3 finishers on each team)
- Awards to Top 3 FMC Teams
- Free t-shirts to the first 200 pre-registrants.
- No refunds. However, in the event the event is cancelled due to inclement weather we will reschedule.

About Sean's House
Sean’s House is a free resource for young adults ages 14-24. It is a space designed to help members of our community improve their health and wellbeing and connect with their peers in a safe and confidential environment. Support is available 24/7 for young adults to talk about mental health or substance use challenges with other young adult Peer Specialists who have lived experience with similar challenges. The goal of these services is to improve wellness, empower members of the community, and connect young adults to resources and communities of support that meet their specific needs.
