Welcome to the 20th Annual Panther Prowl run/jog/walk-a-thon - Parkmont Elementary School’s only major fund-raiser event benefiting classroom teachers and PTA-sponsored programs. The Panther Prowl is our school's biggest event and major fundraiser. This year our goal is to raise $60000. Every year the money we raise is reinvested into the programs that help us achieve our mission of providing enrichment opportunities for our students, growing our parent involvement supporting our athletic programs, science fairs, Health and wellness programs and many more. As schools adjust to new educational standards and experience ever-expanding enrollment numbers, our community of parents, educators, and staff at Parkmont make extra efforts through events such as the Panther Prowl to ease the impact felt by our students.
Your support will enable Parkmont to provide a wide assortment of programs and events that enrich our children’s education and continue our school’s tradition of outstanding achievement.
Every cent raised will stay at Parkmont,
Every dollar of support will make a difference.
Our goal is to raise $75 or more per student.
Most of the money raised will go directly to the teachers for use in the classroom. Our teachers, thoughtfully purchase much-needed items throughout the year such as books, classroom and art supplies. The remaining funds will support PTA-sponsored activities and resources for the school such as:
- Direct Classroom Support
- Teacher Grants
- Music for Minors II
- Reflections
- Variety Show
- Family Math, Science, and Reading Nights
- Run Club
- Technology
- Health and Wellness Program (Red Ribbon Week)
- Emergency Preparedness
Parkmont PTA has been able to effectively use the funds generated in the previous years to purchase and install the electronic marquee board at Parkmont Elementary. We have also been able to fund, install and maintain three automatic water filter fountains on campus, in addition to the many programs organized by our PTA. Currently, we are working to upgrade our school computer lab and install a Maker Space for our students in the school library. All of these are only possible with your continuing support and generous donation.
