Welcome to Run The City,
Run The City is a scavenger hunt running race that will challenge your navigation skills and your quick thinking. Being fast is also a plus!
I wanted to organize an event that showcases the beautiful parts of Downtown Victoria, while also bringing together a rad group of runners to go up against each other for the title!
This event is as simple as it gets! We will meet at the event location (Frontrunners Victoria, 1200 Vancouver Street) 45 minutes before the race start. You won't know much about where you will be going beforehand. 30 minutes before the start, I will reveal the course which will consist of 4 checkpoints. Each checkpoint will be sponsored by a local company and they will provide you with an item. You’ll have to hold onto these items during the race to prove that you have visited all the checkpoints. You definitely want to do so as they will be great perks from your local shops! Such as Outway & Frontrunners!
Once you have visited all the checkpoints, you’ll need to find your way to the finish line! The finish line will also be revealed shortly before the start of the race. Remember, you must visit ALL the checkpoints before arriving at the finish line!
You can expect this run to be anywhere from 6-10km (Unless you somehow make it more than that :) )
Top 3 females and top 3 males will receive PRIZE MONEY and possibly a gift card from a lovely shop!!!
One thing to note is that you are responsible to respect the rules of the road! Please be aware on any move that you are making and stop at the lights, or find another way to avoid them - mapping skills am I right?
