Laidlaw 5K & Fun Runs

Come join us for the Laidlaw Elmementary School 5K Run/Walk and Fun Runs

The purpose of this race is to promote health and wellness at our school and in our community. The 1 Mile Fun Run (untimed) will start at 4pm, followed by the timed 5K start at 4:30pm. The 75 yard dash will run prior to the results tally from the 5K race.

General Information

1 Mile Fun Run starts promptly at 4:00pm

5K will start promptly at 4:30pm

Youth 75yd dashes start approx 5:15pm


Race Timing

We use a disposable chip timing tag that runners receive at packet pick up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib.
Runners MUST wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing in order to be timed accurately. The bib cannot be covered, holding it in your hand or putting it in your pocket will NOT read the chip. Do not bend the chip. Smart watches such as Garmin and smart phones can interfere with the timing chip frequency. Please do not adjust your watch or phone as you cross the finish line and come through the chute. Disputes for times on Smart watches and smart phones will not be taken into consideration.


Packet Pick-Up
Friday, September 30, 3:30-5:00 pm at the Laidlaw Park Pavilion

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up
3:00-3:45pm
No registrations for the 1 Mile will be accepted after 3:30pm
No registrations for the 5k will be accepted after 3:45pm

Awards
All 75 Yard Dashers and 1 Milers will receive a finishers ribbons.
5K Age group categories are: Top Male & Female - K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Grade, 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-49, 50 & Over

Awards ceremony starts after the completion of the 5K
