Brainsport Gingerbread Run 2022

Brainsport is back with this year's Gingerbread Run! We are excited to be back to an in person event!

For the past 8 years, the team at Brainsport has been hosting the iconic Gingerbread Run - donating the profits to Saskatoon charities. This year's event will start and end at the YWCA Saskatoon.

We are excited to announce that this year, all race profits will go to support the YWCA Saskatoon. The YWCA Saskatoon is a welcoming and vibrant community-based organization that provides preventative and emergent services to women and their families. The YWCA Saskatoon has been a place for community members to find stability, grow together, overcome personal obstacles, and gain a new respect for their abilities and passions. Money raised stays in the province and goes directly towards funding YWCA Saskatoon programs and services.

Stay connected to the community by celebrating your run on social media using the hashtag #gingerbreadrun2022 and tagging the Brainsport instagram @brainsportyxe, and the YWCA Saskatoon instagram @ywca_saskatoon. If you tag us, we can share the love and support to other runners and community members in the city!

Participants will receive an awesome souvenir Gingerbread Run bunnyhug at our package pickup day (details below). Not running in the event, but wanting a souvenir bunnyhug? Not to worry, you can buy a bunnyhug without entering the race for just $40.

Race Expo: Friday, November 25^th, 2022

Pick up your race bib and your iconic gingerbread bunnyhug! We love to see you sporting your hoodie on the race route. Not racing this year but ordered a bunnyhug? Come to the expo on this day to pick up.

Gingerbread Run 2022 Race Day: Saturday, November 26^th , 2022

Run, run, as fast as you can, it’s race day! We can’t wait to see you out on the trail chasing down the gingerbread man.

Saturday, November 26^th, 2022

10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

YWCA Saskatoon main entrance (starting point)

510 25^th Street East, Saskatoon

The race route will leave the YWCA Saskatoon and make its way through Kinsmen Park before crossing the street at the Nutrien WonderHub and winds through the Meewasin trails down Spadina Crescent. Once you reach the half-way point, (marked by a refreshment table and some enthusiastic volunteers) enjoy a quick refreshment break before turning around and heading back to the YWCA to complete your 5km walk.

Upon arriving back at the YWCA Saskatoon, hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies will be provided to warm you up, recharge and say thank you for your participation in this year’s event!

Parking:

Parking is very limited – please consider carpooling if you are able!
